Friendly meeting between the delegationof Lao-Russian Society of Friendship headed by Chief of general
staff of the Laos army Major-General Sanjat Phonvihan and the veterans of the Russian-Lao Friendship Society headed by the Chief of the State Federal Statistic Department, Chairman of the Russian-Lao Friendship Society Mr.V.Sokolin was held in the main office of the above depatment on July 27,2008.
The meeting were attended by:
- First deputy Chairman of the Russian-Lao Friendship Society, professor of the UNESCO International Department of the Moscow State University, vice president of the Russian Peace Fund, academician I.Panfilov
- Vice president of the Russian Peace Fund Mrs.E.Sutormina
- The first millitary adviser of Soviet Embassy in Lao Republic, deputy chairman of the Moscow council veterans of war,Lieutenant-General A.Gaponenko
- Member of the Russian-Lao Intergovemental commission on trade and economic, scientific and technical cooperation, Director-General of "MK-SP"Ltd, d-r N.Ustinov
- Director-General of "MK-Group"company Mr. F.Dohikian
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentialy of Lao Republic in Russia His Excellency Thongsavan Phomvihan
- The first Secretary of the Embassy of Lao Republic in Russia, consul Mr. Hongkeo Suksavat
During the conversation the questions of further development of friendship relations between two countries have been discussed.
