On June 21-23, 2011, The Fourth International Security Printing Conference took place in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. For an unprecedented few days, the participants had a unique opportunity to obtain information about the development prospects of security printing industry, the latest developments in the field of banknote design, modern means of combating fraud and advances in security technologies.
MK-SP, Ltd., being the sponsor of this conference for the fourth time, was represented by Director General Dr. Nikolay Ustinov, Deputy Director General Dr. Alexey Salimon and Expert Mr. Alexey Popov.
Individual sessions were devoted on subjects of ID documents, plastic cards, and the equipment for security printing and identification of authenticity of security products as well.
Not only did this event offer a programme packed with high profile speakers, such as A. V. Jurov (Central Bank of Russia) and A. V. Trachuk (), who provided insights into all aspects of security printing, it also featured a comprehensive trade exhibition and cultural programme, including informal trips to old Russian town Azov and meeting local people, which allowed ample time not only to network with potential customers and discuss current industry developments, but to discover a new interesting world of Russian ancestral lands with its own customs and traditions.
The organizational titles ranged wildly.
Participants agree that this Conference is the most significant event in the security printing industry.
