The celebration of the 40-th anniversary of the foundation of the Association of South-East Nations was hold in the Cultural Centre of the Central Administrative Board of Diplomatic Corps at the 18-th October 2007.

The Ambassadors of all 10 countries forming this Community were presented at the ceremony.

Deputy-minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Mr.Losukov who delivered a welcoming speech underlined the important role of ASEAN on international scene.

Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore Michael Ann greeted the quests in his reciprocal speech. The Ambassador also marked the achievements of ASEAN in international activity and stressed the important role of Russia as a partner.

The festive concert prepared by students from the ASEAN countries and ceremonial reception took place in conclusion.
