Meeting of the editorial board of the “International economic” magazine was held on May 17, 2007, in the “Restoration” club. The meeting was attended by Mr. V. Sokolin – director of the Federal Service of State Statistics; archpriest Vsevolod – Deputy Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchy; professor S. Glaziev - member of the State Dume; academician I. Panfilov – Vice-President of the Russian Peace Fund; academician V. Zhukov – rector of the Russia State Social University; Mrs. E. Sutormina – first Vice-President of the Russian Peace Fund; professor R. Khasbulatov – chairman of the world economics department of the Russia Academy of Economics after G. Plekhanov; other members of the editorial board. The meeting was chaired by academician A. Strygin – editor-in-chief of the magazine. The main question discussed – themes of publications and the issue schedule.

Opening the meeting academician Strygin specified the main problems of the world economics worth to be discussed in the magazine. The participants noted that the magazine was getting more interesting from issue to issue; well-known politicians, sociologists, economists publish their articles in the magazine.

Striking the balance of the meeting academician Strygin noted that the magazine should correctly and objectively reflect the development of the world economics.
