Well-known Russian public organisation Russian Peace Foundation, successor of the Soviet Peace Fund celebrates his 50-th Anniversary on April 27,2011. On the occasion the above event the Ministry of communication of Russia and Russian Peace Foundation issued a commemorative postage stamp and special cover.
The ceremony of special cancellation of commemorative philatelic items by first day stamp was held during the opening of the photo exhibition "50 Years of the Russian Peace Fund", dedicated to this event.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Russian Peace Foundation, Deputy of the State Duma
L. Slutsky, deputy Director general "Pochta Rossii" I. Mandrykin, "MK-SP" Director General dr. N.Ustinov.
