On the occasion of 50-th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Russia and Laos the delegation of Russian-Lao Friendship Association and Russian Peace Fund was in Vientiane - the capital of Lao PDR on October 5-9, 2010.
Members of the delegation took part in number of campaigns organized by Association and Peace Fund
to celebrate the above event. Particularly, the special exhibition of photographies showing the history of establishment and development of bilateral relations, "circular tables", thematic seminars as well as festive concerts of Russian artists were organized.
The Laotian high ranking officials Vice -President of Lao PDR, members of prime minister's office, ministers, members of National Assembley, Head of Lao-Russian Friendship Association, public reresentatives took part in the festive campaigns .
The Russian side has been presented by Mr. V.Sokolin, Chaiman of the Russian-Lao Friendship Asssociation,academician I. Panfilov,First Deputy Chairman of Russian Pease Fund, representatives of number of russian organizations as well as business groups, russian diplomats.
Russian Ambassador to Laos Oleg V. Kabanov also attended the official events.
