The presentation of the book " Laos in international relations of Asia-Pacific region in early XXI century" was held yesterday in "Biblio-Grobus" trade house at Miasnitskaya street.The author of the monograhy Yu.Raikov, diplomat, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Lao PDR, which has worked many years in this rich ancient customs and traditions beautiful country with its no less interesting modern history. The author analyzes the role and place of the Lao PDR in the booming Asia-Pacific region and in the modern world as a whole.
The book launch was attended by the author of the monography Yu. Raikov, Chairman of the Russian-Lao Friendship Association Mr. V. Sokolin, First deputy Chairman of the Russian Peace Fund, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Lao Friendship Association, academician I. Panfilov, representatives of business, scientists, publishing houses, students and Moscow public.
The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Somphone Sichaleune, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Russia as well as Laotian embassy officials.
