The exhibition under the title "Laos National Art and Traditions" devoted to 48-th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lao PDR and Russian Federation was opened on October 8,2008 in Moscow city DUMA. The opening ceremony were atteded by: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentialy of Lao Pepublic in Russia His Excellency Thongsavan Phomvihan, Head of CPRF group in Moscow city DUMA, member of the Board of the Russian-Laotian Friendship Society, Deputy of Moscow city DUMA Mr.V.Lakeev, "MK-SP" Director General, member of the Board of the Russsian-Laotian Friendship Society D-r.N.Ustinov, Section Head of International Economic department of Moscow goverment Mr.A.Pivovarov as well as Moscow city DUMA officers and Lao Embassy officials.
The number of items of laotian Arts and Crafts including the collection of artworks of the famous laotian artist Hamsuok Keomingmang have been widely presented at the exposition. All, the participants and guests noted that the such events let know more and more about cultural heritage as well as arts and
crafts traditions of laotian peple and without any doubt serve for further strengthening the friendly relations between our countries and nations. The exhibition will be opened till Oct.16,2008
