On April 9, 2007, the delegation of the Russian Peace Fund and the Russian-Laotian Friendship Society headed by prof. I. Panfilov paid a visit to Laos. A number of meetings was held with the leaders of the Lao PDR, among them Prime-Minister Buason Bofavan, ministers of defense, industry, communications. The parties discussed further development of economic, scientific and cultural relations between the countries.
On April 12, 2007, a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Dam Vua JV took place. Those attending the meeting stroke the balance of the year 2006 and noted that the enterprise was ahead of schedule in salt production.
Representative of the Moscow Government and MK-SP in Vietnam Mr. V. Gonchar signed a contract with the National Bank of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on delivery of special paper from MK-SP and “Philprint Technologies Ltd.” (patent holder).
On April 18, 2007, a Vietnamese company “Xunhasaba Co.” celebrated its 50th Anniversary. To honor the anniversary a celebratory concert was given in Hanoi. The concert was attended by Secretary of Central Communist Party, Chief of Central Committee of Culture & Ideology Mr To Huy Rua, Minister of Culture and Information Mr. Le Doan Hop, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the RF to Vietnam V. Serafimov, Director of the Russian Science and Culture Centre in Vietnam A. Lavrenev, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Laotian Friendship Society, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Peace Fund prof. I. Panfilov.
As officially advised by MK-SP, the European Committee on awards and prizes under the UNO decorated “Xunhasaba Co.” represented by its President Ha Trieu Kien with Leonardo Da Vinci medal, thus marking the tribute paid by the Company to strengthening friendship between the nations, development of science and culture in Vietnam.
From the very day of its foundation “Xunhashaba Co.” has been promoting and popularizing the Russian language and culture. Millions of copies of books both in Russian and Vietnamese have been published with the active participation of “Mezhdunarodnaya Kniga”, among them works of V. Lenin, K. Marx, F. Engels, Russian classics as well as works of Vietnamese authors.
