Prof. Dr Igor D. PANFILOV, member of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Peace Fund has visited Vientiane, Lao People Democratic Republic in April, 2004.

During the meetings with HE. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulit, Vice-Prime-Minister, Chief of State Planning Committee of Lao PDR and HE Mr. Bouasone Bouphavanh, Vice-Prime-Minister of Lao PDR several questions were discussed. HE Mr. Thongloun Sisoulit has mentioned the importance of co-operation between Laos and Russia in different fields of co-operation, that lasts for a long time being helped by the Russian Peace Fund and MK-SP, Ltd. company. HE Mr. Bouasone Bouphavanh has also noted the inestimable help, provided to Lao PDR by Russian Federation.

Dr Igor D. Panfilov has accentuated, that the Russian peace Fund will continue to provide Laos with any social help and support, meanwhile MK-SP will provide the growing economy of the fast developing Lao PDR with consulting, investments and its other activities.

Both sides have expressed their firm belief in continuing the mutual beneficial co-operation in the future.
