Meeting of the editorial board of the "World economic" magazine was held on June 3,2009 in the press-center of the House of Journalist in Moscow. The meeting were attended by the Chairman of the editorial board, academician of the Russian Academy of Science, Head of the Institute of the market development,
professor N.Petrakov, Deputy Chairman of the editorial board, Head of the World Economic department of the Russian Academy of Economics after G.Plekhanov,professor R.Khasbulatov, Head of the Institute of the USA and Canada of Russian Academy of Science, professor B.Rogov, Head of the International Economic department of the State University of Management, professor O.Bogomolov, Vice-President
of the Russian Peace Fund, academician I.Panfilov, doctor of the economical science, professor B.Smitienko and other well-known russian economists, members of the editorial board.
Opening the meeting editor-in-chief of the economic publications of the "Panorama"publishing house
Mr.S.Omeljchenko informed the members of the work done specified the main questions and problems
appeared within the year under getting ready for some issues of the magazine. Further Mr. S.Omeljchenko introduced to the members of the editorial board professor V.Panjkov as a new editor-in-chief of the magazine which in his turn offered the ways of further developing of the issue.
The participants noted that the magazine was getting more popular from issue to issue, famous russian politics, economists and young scientist published their articles regulary. At the same time it was noted that the foreign economists and scientists practically have not been presented in the magazine's pages.
Taking into account the present situations in the world economics and for further improving the situation in edition of the magazine, possible increasing the circulation the editorial board approved the themes of
future publications, offers for getting the magazine up handsomely as well as improving the chanals of distribution and subscription prices of the magazine.
At the end of the meeting in accordance with the decision of the "Panorama" publishing house the most active members of the editorial board academician N.Petrakov and professor R. Khasbulatov were awarded by valueable presents, namely the artworks of A.Moschenkov - the young but famous graphic-designer.
