By the invitation of President and Prime Minister of Lao PDR an official delegation of the Russian Peace Fund and MK-SP attended the festivities devoted to the 30th Ann. of the foundation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In the course of the negotiations the construction of a printing house of the State Bank of Lao PDR was coordinated with the leadership of the country; and spade-work for the construction of a cascade of Nam Kong I hydroelectric power stations was carried out.

During the solemn ceremony, Prof. Dr. Igor D. Panfilov, Member of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Peace fund has awarded HE Thongloun Sisoulit, vice prime-minister of Lao PDR with the Leonardo da Vince medal "For Great Services to nation" of the European Awards Committee, United Nations and International Association of Peace Foundations.

Within the limits of the festivities the Embassy of the Russian Federation gave an official reception.
